Citd is available as a Shopify embedded app. Once installed, it runs inside Shopify admin so you can check your AI visibility without switching between tabs.

Why use the Shopify app

Installing Citd from the Shopify App Store has two advantages over the standalone web app:
  • Store access is granted automatically. No manual token setup — Citd connects to your catalog during the OAuth install flow.
  • The workspace lives inside Shopify admin. You access Citd the same way you access any other Shopify app, without a separate login.

Install from the Shopify App Store

1

Find Citd in the Shopify App Store

Search for “Citd” in the Shopify App Store, or use the direct install link from citdhq.com.
2

Click Install

Shopify shows the permission scopes Citd requests. Citd requires product read and write access to sync your catalog. Click Install to authorize.
3

Citd handles the rest

After you authorize, Shopify redirects to a Citd install page that completes the token exchange. This happens automatically — you will see a brief “Completing Shopify install” loading state.
4

Land in onboarding or your workspace

  • First install: Citd opens the onboarding flow at Step 2 (integrations). Your store URL and brand name are pre-filled from the Shopify session, and Shopify access is already connected.
  • Returning install: Citd opens your existing workspace directly.
If the install page shows “Install link expired”, return to the Shopify App Store and reinstall. Install links expire after a short window.

Onboarding inside Shopify

When you install Citd for the first time from Shopify, the onboarding flow starts at Step 2 — Connect integrations. Step 1 (project details) is pre-filled:
  • Store URL — taken from your Shopify store domain
  • Brand name — taken from your account display name, or inferred from the domain
  • Shopify connection — already connected; you will see “Store access was granted during install”
You still need to connect Google Search Console if you want search-demand signals, and you will still go through the store analysis, topic review, and prompt review steps. See Set up your project for details on each of those steps.

The embedded workspace

After onboarding, Citd appears in your Shopify admin navigation. The embedded experience is the same workspace as the web app — the same overview, prompts, competitors, analysis, and settings pages — rendered inside the Shopify admin frame.
If you see a “Shopify session unavailable” error, try opening Citd directly from your Shopify admin app list rather than bookmarking a direct URL. Embedded app sessions are managed through Shopify’s app bridge and may not work from a direct deep link.

Switching between Shopify app and web app

Your Citd project is the same regardless of how you access it. Data, prompts, topics, and settings are shared between the Shopify embedded view and the standalone web app at citdhq.com. You can use whichever is more convenient. Some users prefer the Shopify embedded view for daily checks and the web app for deeper analysis and settings changes.
